I grew up in a small town in NW Pa, outside of Erie. I went to the University of MD at College Park and graduated with a BS in Architecture. As much as I enjoyed creating spaces, photography had a bigger pull.

I started my journey to digital Photo Artistry with a little 110 camera given to me by my dad at 7 years old. Film eventually led to digital and that meant using Photoshop. I have always enjoyed working in Photoshop. I have  taken many classes over the years, both through the local community college as well as online. I started creating albums for my husband's wedding clients in Photoshop and found it could also be used for digital scrapbooking. Eventually that wasn't enough and moved into the more free form style of Art Journaling. This lead to finding the Photoshop Grunge course, and everything fell into place. Most recently I have started using DAZ 3d Studio to create characters for my work. Though there are still many times my family gets roped into posing for the images I create.

I find inspiration in the magical, whether it be a flower in bloom or my imagination. It could be a fantastic world or a futuristic one. It could be the beauty of a poem set to melody or the eyes of a loved one, human or animal. I feel "You can find magic everywhere, you just have to look for it, listen for it, and really see and hear it." Music has a large part in what I create many times a phrase or lyric from a song will create the flash of an image in my mind that  have to work to create.
I remember a quote from one of my college professors that rings true to this day. "You can make a beautiful photograph of anything, even something you consider ugly.” I feel the arts have the ability to heal, connect, and help us grow. My art is a journey to all those magical, beautiful places.
